  1. Lower the attachment to the ground, stop the engine and remove the key.
  2. Wipe each nipple before fitting the gun: otherwise you inject the grit along with the grease.
  3. Pump until a small bead of clean grease appears at the joint.
  4. Wipe off the excess: grease left proud collects grit and does the opposite of what you want.

  2. Find the arrow-marked nipple and wipe it clean.
  3. Inject about 50 g of grease — roughly twenty strokes of the gun.
  4. Slew a quarter turn and repeat: four injections cover the whole gear ring.
