Review moderation charter

Every review is read by a person before it is published. Here is the rule we apply, and the one you can hold us to.

We publish negative reviews

An unfavourable review is not a reason to turn it down. “The service is poor” is an opinion, and it gets published. We owe nobody anything — not a manufacturer, not a dealer, not a partner.

The five reasons to turn a review down, and only those

  • Insult — abuse, hateful speech, personal attack.
  • Unfounded accusation — “they stole from me” alleges a crime and is not published without proof, whereas “they are slow” is an opinion.
  • Service prescription — a review tells a story of use, it never states what a machine requires. The manufacturer's manual is what counts.
  • Off topic, advertising, commercial content.
  • Personal data — an employee's name, a phone number, a number plate.

What we record

Every review we turn down is turned down for one of the reasons above, and that reason is recorded. Without that trace, this page would be a statement of intent — including to ourselves.

The right of reply

A company named in a review can answer publicly, under the review, in its own name. That is what we offer instead of deletion.

Our paid links

Some links to dealers may earn us a commission, and we say so where they appear. A dealer who pays us does not get a negative review removed: that is precisely what this page makes verifiable.
